Marine Training Services (RTO No. 4653) delivers the following nationally recognised Maritime Training Package Courses.

Successful completion of our courses can lead to nationally recognised AMSA Certificates of Competency, which allow the holder to be the Master and/or Engineer of commercial vessels up to 12 or 24 metres.

Marine Training Services conducts Short Courses for:

  • AMSA Exemption 38 Low Complexity Duties
  • Marine Radio (Long Range Operator Certificate of Proficiency)
  • Passenger Operations through Port Phillip Heads

Our students have gone on to operate in all areas of the small domestic marine industry, including commercial fishing, aquaculture industry, on charters vessels, commuter ferries, in marinas, delivering vessels, and on Commonwealth and State Authority vessels.

Marine Training Services also delivers the Victorian Recreational Marine Licence and PWC Endorsement Courses.

Flexible Learning Structure

Courses conducted by Marine Training Services can be completed by attending a scheduled course or by Remote Learning or Online.

Our scheduled courses include a blend of classroom/online theory, and practical and on board tuition and assessment.

Theory components of our courses can be completed during our scheduled Online Courses.

Remote Learning is the term used for study undertaken by correspondence or externally of a course venue. Students can learn at their own pace – at home or on board a vessel. Some course tuition, on board and practical components will require attendance. Click here for further information on Remote or Online Learning,
