Elements of Shipboard Safety (MARSS00008 Shipboard Safety Skill Set)

The “Elements of Shipboard Safety” Course (MARSS00008 Shipboard Safety Skill Set) is made up of the following Units of Competency from the MAR Maritime Training Package:

MARF027  Apply basic survival skills in the event of vessel abandonment
MARF028  Follow procedures to minimise and fight fires on board a vessel
MARF029  Meet work health and safety requirements
MARF030  Survive at sea using survival craft

The course is conducted over 3 days and includes a theory session, practical (in water) and on board assessment
